Who would have thought a pram could
become a backpack, a beaded car seat cover a dress and a tea cup a
necklace? Well 15 young fashion designers let loose in Salvos stores
did, that's who. Recreate 2008 was an event held by the Salvos stores
to promote their cause and to encourage people to take a fresh look
at the donated goods inside the stores, you know, just like they say
“one persons trash is another persons treasure”. Who knows what
you can find?
The event was hosted by the charismatic and
entertaining Ita Buttrose, who just so happens to be the new face of
the Southern Territory stores. Ita was very excited by the prospect
of table cloths becoming dresses and couldn't wait to see what the
designers had come up with. I'm sure you 're itching to see what they've created too.
