I always admire the work of the ingenious graffiti artist DrewFunk whenever I walk past his art down Melbourne Central's alley.  While I hadn't had a chance to talk to him before, today I finally got to hang out and have a nice warm latte with this talented man.

Tell me about yourself.

I'm Drew, I've been doing graffiti about 7 years, going by the name Drewfunk. I've been drawing in general since 5 years old and I'm currently living in Melbourne pursuing being a fulltime artist.

Where did you learn your techniques?

Just by practicing. I draw a lot! I have a certain style and I do it in my design as well.

What/who inspires you?

Melbourne, food, music, my friends, my culture (Chinese-Malaysian)

What kind of music do you listen to?

A lot of Drum & bass, reggae, dub-step.

What was the last movie you just saw?

Rambo! Its good, Lots of killing! But Sylvester Stallone looks really old in that movie.

Describe Melbourne art from your point of view!

The art is awesome! A lot of good artist and there are always people doing stuff and being progressive

Any particular type of fashion/brand that you like?

I love artist t-shirts. Like hand made t-shirts, hand made stuff, stuff from India & Thailand.

I don't really wear those "branding" stuff. I pretty much wear what I want to wear.i do care about what im wearing but people can't force me to wear something.
